Meet this week's featured adoptable pet from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter
This is Jasper
The 831 is thrilled to announce that we’re partnering up with the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter to show people what goes on behind the scenes, and to try and help get some pets adopted.
This week’s pet of the week is Jasper.
“Jasper is a 10–12-month-old German Shepherd pup who came to our shelter as a stray from the Watsonville area, showing signs of a rough start to life.
Despite fly-bitten ears, a slight limp, and being underweight, he has been gentle, quiet, and appreciative of care.
Jasper enjoys fetch, positive reinforcement training, and friendly play with other dogs.
He can be a little nervous with paw handling and slightly mouthy when worried, which is typical for adolescent dogs.
With guidance, he has great potential to become a loyal companion.
Jasper’s $150 adoption fee includes vaccinations, neuter surgery, and a microchip. A $29 county license fee applies for Santa Cruz residents.”
